* After a couple of months that I have been creative with tiny Japanese beads only, the knitting bug is striking again. I have ordered yarn (Hebridean 3ply "Wild Orchid") for a scarf ("Afton" by Brooklyn Tweed). Unfortunately, my umbrella swift will probably not make it very long. Therefore, I have bought a new one.
* I have been fascinated by swifts called "spinner's weasel" in English (in German we call it "mill swift"). This spinner's weasel is surely not the high-class tool but it was economy-priced and was delivered in next to no time. I have already tried out winding 2 skeins (50g and 100g) and I am satisfied. I bought it at Wollschaaarf's Hoflädchen.
* A cute sheep emblem is stamped on the wood. ;)
* Additionally, I have discovered that one can buy a few of the Blacker Yarns in Germany now. In order to test it and in order to try winding, I bought one skein of "Blacker Tamar". A cowl or neckwarmer can always be made of one skein. Now, I need to complete/bead the wave bracelet with a clasp for me. At least as long as the yarn for the scarf arrives.
So long ...
